Launching of The Camelys, A 21m Gillnet / Longliner Built by Piriou
PIRIOU NAVAL SERVICES launched the CAMELYS, a 21 m gillnet/longliner, in Concarneau (29), one year after the order was received from L'Armement Coopératif Artisanal Vendéen.
After the 'CAYOLA' and 'MABON 3' trawlers delivered by PIRIOU in 2013 and 2014, the Armement Coopératif Artisanal Vendéen (ACAV) has joined forces with Mr Adrien DELAVAUD for this new unit whose home port will be Port Joinville ( Ile d'Yeu). Intended to be operated primarily in the Bay of Biscay and secondarily in the English Channel, it will strengthen its artisanal fleet. Delivery is scheduled for the end of 2022.
